See Results of the 2007 Legislative Survey! My name is Tom Rice and I am thankful to the voters to have served as your State Representative in House District 51 for the last ten years. The district encompasses parts of John’s Creek and Alpharetta in Fulton County and Berkeley Lake and Peachtree Corners in Gwinnett County. The district is home to 50,000 people whom I want to help by legislating in a fashion that preserves our liberties while insuring the best possible safety, educational and economic opportunities, and travel mobility, all at the lowest possible cost in taxes. I have attempted to provided strong, principled leadership in the State House. For example, my fight to restrict the growth of state government has led me to, with the exception of an increase in the tobacco tax, never voting for an income or sales tax increase. More proactively I have led in the fight for tort reform, immigration control, teen driving controls and spending reform, such as providing Governor Perdue with valuable insight into waste in the state budget. Additionally, I have historically fought to enhance opportunity for K-12 performance in our schools. Please take a moment to find out more about my accomplishment and the ideas I fight for under the Gold Dome. You can click here to view my 2007 legislative wrap up. One of my greatest joys as a State Representative is talking with constituents about issues or possible ideas for legislation. If you would like to contact me, feel free to e-mail or call me at (770) 447-9649. Thank you again for the great opportunity to represent you. |
